This tribute to the hardworking women of Nicaragua serves as a touching memorial my grandmother, who tirelessly sewed to provide for our family.
Crafted from durable foam board, the antique sewing machine is transformed into a powerful symbol of resilience and strength. The piece is brought to life through a breathtaking projection mapping display, which expertly highlights the intricate details of the sculpture while immersing viewers in a captivating visual narrative. The dynamic projection mapping technology adds depth and dimension to the sculpture, creating a truly immersive and interactive experience.
The sculpture is complemented by an ambient soundtrack that evokes the bustling energy of Villa Libertad in Managua, Nicaragua. The sound of the street noise outside the artist's grandmother's house serves as a poignant reminder of the everyday struggles and triumphs of the working class.

As someone with ADHD, I struggle with accurately recalling childhood memories, which can impact my ability to experience nostalgia. To explore this concept, I created an art project using a pinata and a digital projection of my grandmother's house in a low-poly environment. The pinata represents childhood, decorated to resemble a specific memory and filled with items representing different aspects of childhood. The projection gives viewers a blurry 360-degree turn of the house, evoking a sense of nostalgia despite the difficulty in organizing memories

This piece conveys the turbulent and oppressive reality of the 2021 Nicaraguan elections. The elections were widely regarded as being fraught with irregularities and rife with intimidation tactics, leading to widespread condemnation from international observers.
The artwork depicts a group of Nicaraguan police officers, clad in riot gear, blocking a voting ballot box, and denying the people's democratic right to vote. The police officers are captured in a moment of intense confrontation, with their hostile and intimidating expressions conveying the sense of fear and oppression that characterized the election process.
The piece is particularly poignant in its depiction of the Nicaraguan government's crackdown on political dissent in the lead-up to the election. Many political candidates were arrested, including seven opposition presidential candidates, and dozens of political activists were detained. The government's crackdown on opposition voices led to widespread international condemnation, with many countries and human rights organizations calling for an end to the human rights abuses.
