From dissatisfaction with the uninspiring merchandise offered by Emily Carr University in 2022, as a student of one of the world's premier art schools, I felt compelled to craft a collection of sweatshirts and hoodies that truly captured the essence of studying at this so called prestigious institution. To showcase the merchandise with a timeless aesthetic, I opted for a distressed and weathered appearance. By utilizing the wood types available in the print shop, I recreated a vintage, worn-out effect. This deliberate choice serves as an homage to the rich history of Emily Carr University as an institute, honoring its longstanding legacy as a haven for artistic exploration.
